PROBLEMATIKA PENEGAKAN HUKUM TINDAKAN PENGRUSAKAN TERHADAP JEMBATAN DI KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problems faced by law enforcement officers in handling bridge vandalism cases and to analyze public perceptions and legal awareness of these actions. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, field observations, and the distribution of questionnaires to the people of Pekanbaru City. The results show that law enforcement still faces various obstacles, such as a lack of sufficient evidence to indict the perpetrators, weak coordination between agencies, and low levels of public awareness of the importance of maintaining public facilities. In addition, some people still consider bridge vandalism as a form of venting or protest without realizing the legal consequences.
